לווין התקשורת Simon Bolivar של ונצואלה ישוגר בנובמבר

נשיא ונצואלה הוגו צ'אבז הודיע ש Simon Bolivar, לווין התקשורת הראשון של ונצואלה ישוגר ב 2 בנובמבר הבא. הלווין מיוצר בסין על ידי חברת China Great Wall Industry Corp וישוגר מאתר Xichang. הוא מבוסס על פלטפורמה DFH 4 פי פיתוח סיני וישוגר באמצעות טיל סיני מדגם CZ-3B. בלווין יהיו 12 ב C-band ו 14 משיבים ב Ku-band . משקל הלווין בעת השיגור יעמוד על כ 5100 ק"ג ותוחלת החיים המתוכננת שלו היא 15 שנה. הלווין ישמש להפצת שידורי טלוויזיה ואינטרנט למדינות אמריקה הלטינית.

Venezuela to launch Simon Bolivar in November

The Simon Bolivar satellite will be launched into the space on Nov. 2, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Sunday. The satellite is produced by China's China Great Wall Industry Corp and will be launched Xichang launch site. The satellite is bases on the DFH 4 platform and will be launched by a CZ-3B rocket. It will have 12 C-band transponders and 14 Ku-band transponders. Its mass launch will be 5100 ks and its lidfe expectancy 15 is years. The Simon Bolivar satellite would benefit Venezuela's TV, internet as well as other communication systems.
