אינדונזיה לא תמנע המשך השידורים של ערוץ החיזבאללה

אינדונזיה דחתה לחצים שהופעלו עליה מצד הממשל האמריקאי על מנת להפסיק את ההפצה של שידורי הטלוויזיה של ערוץ האלמנאר של החיזבאללה במדינה. סוכנות הידיעות הצרפתית AFP ציטטה את שר האינפורמציה והתקשורת מוחמד נוה שאמר שאינדונזיה אינה רואה סיבה לחסום את השידורים של הערוץ הנכלל ברשימות אירגוני הטרור של משרד החוץ האמריקאי.

לדברי השר הנאור "אנחנו לא יכולים לחסום כאן מישהו שאינו מפר תקנות כלשהן. אנו לא רוצים כל מעורבות שהיא או בקשה מצד מדינה כלשהיא שאינה תואמת את העקרונות שלנו " לדבריו, הוא הסביר את העקרונות של אינדונזיה בפגישה שהתקיימה לאחרונה עם נציגים של הממשל האמריקאי

ערוץ אלמנאר של החיזבאללה החל לשדר באינדונזיה בחודש אפריל השנה לאחר שחתםפ על הסכם הפצה באמצעות משיב של חברת PT Indosat עד אפריל 2011.

Indonesia won't block Hezbollah TV channel

Indonesia has rejected US pressure to stop a Lebanese Hezbollah militia television channel airing its programmes in the country, a minister said today.

AFP news agency quoted Information and Communications Minister Muhammad Nuh as saying  Indonesia saw no reason to block broadcasts by the Islamic militant group which is on a US State Department list of terrorist organisations. "We can't stop anyone here as long as they aren't violating our regulations," he said. "We don't want any intervention or request from any country which isn't in line with our basic principles."

He said he had explained Indonesia's position during a recent meeting with US representatives.

Lebanon-based station Al-Manar started broadcasting in Indonesia in April after leasing a satellite transponder operated by PT Indosat. Its three-year contract will end in 2011
