שידורי ניסיון בהפרדה גבוהה גם ב Atlantic Bird 1

חברת הלווינים Eutelsat החלה בסדרת שידורי ניסיון בהפרדה גבוהה  גם באמצעות הלווין Atlantic Bird 1 הממוקם ב 12.5 מעלות מערב . השידורים , המבוצעים ללא הצפנה, הם בתקני הדחיסה המתקדמים MPEG-4 ו DVB-S2 . השידורים כוללים את הערוצים National Geographic Channel HD UK, National Geographich Channel Portugal, SET Portugal, Bainet Sat ו National Geographic Turkey ואינם מוצפנים.
השידורים הם בתדר 11.185V ( נתונים נוספים : SR 13657, FEC 2/3).

Eutelsat starts HD programming from Atlantic Bird 1

Eutelsat Communications has started test transmissions in High Definition via its Atlantic Bird 1 satellite positioned at 12.5 degreees west. This is the first time channels in this format are transmitted via this satellite. The transmissions are in the new compressions standards MPEG-4 and DVB-S2 and comprose the following channels: National Geographic Channel HD UK, National Geographich Channel Portugal, SET Portugal, Bainet Sat ו National Geographic Turkey. The channels are broadcast on 11.185V ( SR 13657, FEC 2/3) and are FreeTo Air.
