NOVA האריכה החוזה ב HotBird וחכרה משיב נוסף

חברת MultiChoice Hellas המפעילה את חבילת הלווין היוונית NOVA המופצת גם בקפריסי האריכה את החוזה להפצת שידוריה באמצעות לוויני Hot Bird של חברת הלווינים Eutelsat עד לשנת 2020.

בנוסף, חתמה החברה על חכירת משיב לוויני נוסף באותה עמדה. הקיבולת הנוספת, שתועמד לרשותה לקראת סוף השנה ( כנראה על חשבון משיבי TPS שיתפנו עם עזיבת החבילה את לוויני HotBird) , תאפשר k NOVA להגדיל את היצע הערוצים ולהציע לראשונה ערוצים בהפרדה הגבוהה HDTV.

NOVA מופצת באמצעות לוויני Hot Bird מאז שנת 1999 ויש לה כיום כ 350,000 מנויים ביוון ובקפריסין .

חברת Apax Partners רכשה לפני מספר חודשים את הבעלות על חבילת הלווין היוונית.

Nova extends contract with Eutelsat ,will add HDTV

MultiChoice Hellas that operates NOVA, the leading pay-TV platform in Greece and Cyprus, announced the renewal to 2020 of its satellite capacity at the HOT BIRD™ video neighbourhood operated by Eutelsat Communications.

MultiChoice Hellas has also inked a new contract with Eutelsat for a fifth transponder for NOVA. The additional capacity will be activated at the end of 2008 in order to support the expansion of digital pay-TV services, including HDTV.

Launched from Eutelsat's HOT BIRD neighbourhood in 1999, NOVA delivers television, radio and interactive services in Greece and Cyprus to over 350,000 subscribers.
